Day Oh My God Have I Fallen Off The Wagon Or What

Okay, so I haven’t fallen off the wagon, but I’ve not been tumbling. At all. But I’m back!

Long story short, I had to move back to campus for school/work as a Resident Assistant, and due to training and the start of the school year, I was too ridiculously busy to even think about having time for Tumblr. Actually, I was even too ridiculously busy to have time to monitor and track my eating/exercise habits like I had been doing over the summer. But what IS exciting is that I didn’t actually fall off the wagon. I haven’t been losing weight as rapidly as I did over the summer, but I’m right around 160 now, and considering I started at 187 I feel like I’m still on the right track. I’m hoping that I can get this thing restarted and start tracking my food again, because I need a good motivator right before the holidays.

Anyhoo, hello followers, if I still have any. I’m sorry for forsaking you. Thus beings my triumphant return to Tumblr.

An old friend of mine invited me to go to a local bakery for a cupcake this morning, and I decided that catching up with a friend and eating one of the best cupcakes on the planet was worth it. 375 is probably a little high, but I wasn’t sure and I didn’t want to underestimate.

It was such a hectic eating day… I worked two hours at one job and then eight at my other job, and was running all over between them. I don’t normally give myself “exercise credit” for my work hours, even though I work for a catering service and I’m on my feet the whole time, but today there was an hour where I did nothing but run dishes of food out to the buffet at top speed, so I decided to give myself an hour’s credit for that. By the time I came home I’d only had about 800 calories for the day, so I made myself stay awake and eat something before I went to bed… I was exhausted! But the sale said 166.2 today. Which is awesome.

Last night at work, I smiled every time I had to stop and pull up my pants because they kept falling down.

Can’t stop thinking about how I used to put on those pants and then take five minutes to stretch and bend down, hoping they’d loosen up and not look bad.

Whenever I think about things like that, it feels like they’re a million miles, a million years away. Just a month of making healthy choices can truly change a person!

The mushroom pizza was the shining star of today. I popped a whole grain tortilla into the oven, then took it out and put on a bit of tomato sauce, mushrooms, peppers, and cheese on, popped it back in until it was all crispy… Mmm. Delicious.

Oh hey. Just did 4.5 miles on the elliptical in 35 minutes without breaking a forehead sweat. Translation? I worked hard, but not that hard! The changes I have made in only 27 days still amaze me. My legs, if you’ll allow me to say so, are starting to look gooood.

This is a great article about being a vegetarian.

And for once, my ideas pretty much match up. How refreshing.

EDIT: lol whoops. Guess it’d help if I posted the link??
